In October of 2012, international competitive jouster Luke Binks came to the USA to teach a clinic on competitive jousting and the mounted melee in the Austin, Texas area. Luke Binks is a native Australian who until recently had been living in Norway studying various forms of horsemanship and creating armour for his business Red Hart Reproductions. He has competed in a multitude of jousting tournaments in over 10 different countries around the world, and he was one of the few jousters chosen to compete in the prestigious "Grand Tournament in Sankt Wendel" in September of 2012. ("The Jousting Life" has published several articles about "The Grand Tournament in Sankt Wendel")

During a couple of breaks during the clinic, Luke was kind enough to answer some questions given to him by students at the clinic.
